The Need for Lament by Joel Balzer (based on Dr. Rah’s Sermon)
Grace Fellowship Community Church’s poet laureate, Joel Balzer, wrote the following based on Dr. Rah’s sermon last Sunday.
Celebration Psalms, clock in at sixty percent,

Daily Prayer at 12PM by the People of Grace Fellowship Community Church
Here’s our prayer for the week of September 5 -September 11 written by Marilyn Paik.
From Pope Francis: Homily, Mass with Participants in the “Free from
Fear” Meeting, Sacrofano, February 2019
The encounter with the migrant, as with every brother and sister in need, “is also an encounter with Christ. He himself said so. It is he who knocks on our door, hungry, thirsty, an outsider, naked, sick and imprisoned, asking to be met and assisted”.
Prayer of Holy Resistance
Just as you never abandoned your Son as he was brought to a safe place
by Mary and Joseph, so now be close to these, your sons and daughters.
Empower us to practice radical hospitality and sacrificial love and to seek
justice for our immigrant neighbors in response to a nation that seeks to
exclude.
We offer these embodied acts as prayers of faith that You are redeeming our world. Have mercy on our nation, Lord!
Amen
