Ministry Partner Updates

INFEMIT (International Fellowship for Mission as Transformation) Community From Around the World Shares Lenten Meditations (Jensa Woo is the Ministry Partner Liaison)

Dear Friends,

In this season, we have been reflecting together on what it looks like to bear faithful witness to the gospel in a world fraught with unjust wars, genocide, forced displacement, poverty, human trafficking, corrupt leadership, and state-sanctioned abuse. As we enter the time of Lent, we invite you to join us. We will share short weekly Lenten reflections offered by members of the INFEMIT community from around the world.

Let us sit with our questions as we examine the Bible and our own contexts. Let us journey forward in solidarity as we seed actions of hope and resistance. Let us lean into the story of Jesus who forged his path through a world full of greed, shame, and violence, much like the world in which we live today.

Cumberland Youth and Family Services, Children’s Home Sunday

(Grace Fellowship Community Church is a Cumberland Presbyterian Church)

This Sunday is Children’s Home Sunday! It’s a celebration of what I believe to be one of the greatest domestic missions of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Children and youth in foster care, young adults aging out of care, and resilient single-parent families deserve safe places to call home and the opportunity to thrive and reach their God-given potential. With the establishment of our Foster Care and Adoption Program in 2024, we are proud to share that the legacy of “The Children’s Home” continues to take shape today as we create safe places to call home in our local communities. With each new family-based foster home we license and support, we multiply the impact of Christ’s love beyond the confines of our campus.

Thank you for partnering with us in this important work. Please also share our gratitude with your congregations for their faithful commitment to our mission. What a difference we can make together through your generosity and prayerful support!
