A Change to our Pattern of Having Refreshments after Sunday Service
In an effort to keep things simple, we are going to continue to serve coffee before and after Sunday service. Refreshments will no longer be served weekly, but will continue to be served at our monthly Love Feast and other special occasions.
Summer Seminar Series on Business Development for Justice, Tuesday, July 22, 10AM - 12PM at Church
We are invited to Hanami Hope’s Summer Seminar Series. This Tuesday, Pastor Al, Russell Jeung and others will be speaking on the role of story telling in the struggle for justice.

Basketball Cancelled on Tuesday, July 22
Congratulations to the Al Anon group that meets every Tuesday in the church courtyard. On July 22, this group (which is the longest existing Al Anon group in San Francisco) will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of meeting in the Mission.
Because of Al Anon’s extended celebration on the 22nd, there will be no basketball.
Confirmation Blessing, Sunday, August 10
Pastor Paul and Kim Towsley have been meeting with Amanda Crawford, Christa Greenhill and Naomi Williams to prepare for confirmation. On Sunday, August 10, we will offer blessings on each one of them.
We will have a special reception after Sunday service.
Drivers Needed for Presbytery, Thursday, August 14 - Friday, August 15
This year, Presbytery will be hosted by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Daly City. To return the favor when we needed help with transportation when we hosted Presbytery in 2023, we have been asked to help with their transportation.

Love Feast on Sunday, August 17 (Fundraiser for the Philippines Mission Trip in October)
This will be a chance to hear from the trip participants and enjoy some Filipino food.
Save the Date - Jubilee Immigration Advocates 10 Year Anniversary Celebration, Friday, September 12
10 years ago, Grace Fellowship Community Church “birthed” Jubilee Immigration Advocates in our church building. We want to celebrate with them all the good work Jubilee has done and continues to do for those who are voiceless and marginalized.

Volunteer at Interfaith Immigration Court Vigils
These vigils are to show a faith presence and to protect people before and after their court appointments, focusing on and communicating care for families showing up for appointments (as opposed to confrontation with ICE).

Hi Everyone, Greetings from Spokane. Julie and I wanted to give you an update on our last quarter.
We spent the month of April in Istanbul with our son Michael and his family of four. We stayed with them in their 12th Floor apartment in this historic city of 24 million. The boys are 10 and 13 and enjoyed having their grandparents visit. We had lovely moments as well with local Uyghur families we have met in earlier visits…..
