Join Us for Sunday Worship, July 13 at 10:00 AM

As part of the Prophets of Freedom series, Pastor Al will be preaching from Jonah 1:1-4, 11-12, 15-17; 2:1-10.  “Hear God Call, See Jonah Run: The Problem of Our Calling”

Last Sunday, we watched a video of Rev. Dr. Chris Wright preaching on Habakkuk 3:17-19.

Love Feast on Sunday, July 13

Please plan on staying for lunch on Sunday, July 13.  We will have a chance to discuss what membership looks like for Grace Fellowship Community Church.

Summer Seminar Series on Business Creation for Justice, Every Tuesday from July 15 to August 5

Announcing a joint project between GFCC and Hanami Hope called Summer Seminar Series on Business Creation for Justice. The location will be at GFCC. Dates are consecutive Tuesdays from July 15 to August 5th. Time:  9:30 am to 12:30 pm. All are invited to attend.

Pastor Al Will Be Sharing About His Palestine Trip, Wednesday, July 16, 6PM - 8PM at Church

Come see the pictures and hear the stories of Pastor Al’s recent trip to Palestine.  As Al has mentioned, there is much for him to process and it will take time.  However, we do want to hear what God has been revealing to Al thus far.

There will be a light meal of soup and salad before Al’s presentation.  All are invited.

Drivers Needed for Presbytery, Thursday, August 14 - Friday, August 15

This year, Presbytery will be hosted by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Daly City.  To return the favor when we needed help with transportation when we hosted Presbytery in 2023, we have been asked to help with their transportation.

Save the Date - Jubilee Immigration Advocates 10 Year Anniversary Celebration, Friday, September 12

10 years ago, Grace Fellowship Community Church “birthed” Jubilee Immigration Advocates in our church building.  We want to celebrate with them all the good work Jubilee has done and continues to do for those who are voiceless and marginalized.

Update on the Food Pantry

Since the food pantry has gone to a “market style” distribution, volunteers are no longer needed to come as early on Saturday.  Please come between 12PM - 12:30PM.  If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Peterson.

Freedom Stories

We have been blessed during this past season to hear our fellow members’ freedom stories.  Although at this time, we have no scheduled people to share, we would still welcome additional freedom stories.  If you have a story to share, please let Pastor Al know.

Community Events

The SF Pathways to Citizenship Initiative Naturalization Workshop, Volunteers are Needed, Saturday, July 19

The SF Pathways to Citizenship Initiative is planning our next in-person naturalization workshop at the City College of San Francisco, Chinatown Campus (808 Kearny St) on Saturday, July 19, 2025.  Depending on your assigned role, the workshop could start as early as 8:30am and could end around 5pm.
