Last Week, Pastor Paul preached on “Sacred Spaces”
As a Sacred Place
The design and furnishings are symbolic and functional.
The beauty and creativity reflect the nature of God.
It gathers the people of God as a community.
It is a lens to see beyond where we are.
It is enchanted/mysterious. It is more than the sum of its parts.
“It is not just about how the right dimensions give shape to the Tabernacle, but how the right intentions give shape to our loves.”

February 23 Love Feast
When we were reading Christine Aroney-Sine’s The GIft of Wonder, we were encouraged to unleash our inner child. One of our childhood memories may be the comfort food that we ate when we were sick or when we were “down.”
We invite you during our February Love Feast to share your favorite comfort food. Perhaps jook, Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, mac ‘n cheese, beef stew, spaghetti and meatballs, rocky road ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, potato chips, etc…
Please let Samantha, Jennifer or Caroline know if you would like to share your comfort food during our next Love Feast.
Clare Crawford will be sharing after the Love Feast
Given the new policies and feelings toward undocumented immigrants, Clare has graciously agreed to give us information, should we encounter an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, about “Knowing Your Rights.” If you are interested in learning more, please plan on staying a little longer after the Love Feast.
Ash Wednesday Service, March 5, 7PM at Church
Let’s begin the Lenten Season by receiving the sign of the cross on our foreheads.
In addition, the pastors will be in front of the church building beginning at 6PM to impose ashes on anyone passing by our building. If you cannot attend the service at 7PM, but want to receive ashes, stop by the building between 6PM and 7PM.
We Welcome Mark R. Charles to our Pulpit as Guest Speaker on Sunday, March 9, 2025
Mark R. Charles is a Native American activist, public speaker, consultant, and author on Native American issues, as well as a journalist, blogger and a Reformed pastor.
Mark Charles is the co-author of Unsettling Truths - The Ongoing, Dehumanizing Legacy of the Doctrine of Discovery. In this book, we are confronted with the idea that injustice has plagued American society for centuries. And we cannot move toward being a more just nation without understanding the root causes that have shaped our culture and institutions, in particular, the damaging effects of the "Doctrine of Discovery.
After the refreshment time, we will get an opportunity to hear more about Mark Charles’ work and ministry during an informal lunch. All are invited to attend.

Movie Night Pictures
We had a good time last Wednesday watching “The Young Messiah” together. There was dinner, popcorn, candy and a lively discussion afterwards about the movie.
