Daily Prayer at 12PM by the People of Grace Fellowship Community Church
Here’s our prayer for the week of August 29-September 4 from Leni Juarez
The prophet Amos reminded God’s people: …”let justice roll down like a river, righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” (Amos 5:24). This is a powerful call for people to practice justice and righteousness pervasively and consistently in their lives and society. It critiques empty religious rituals among those who call upon the name of the Lord. In a society where blatant unjust policies and practices are dangerously getting normalized, let us pray together:
Our Father,
May your grace grant us, the American church, ears to hear your call to practice
righteousness and justice pervasively and continuously.
Lord Jesus,
Open the eyes of your people
to recognize what constitutes justice in personal relationships; in social and political involvement.
Dear Holy Spirit,
Help us to discern, to obey, and to act accordingly.
Amen
