“This is Us” Introductory Meeting, Thursday, March 21, 7PM

In the upcoming, “This is Us” vision process, Pastor Paul  noted that we are on a pilgrimage akin to the Israelites story, from places of brokenness to places of freedom. On this journey, our sense of who we are, how we belong to God, what our belonging to each other means, and what our sense of calling is for the sake of the world, is being formed.

Join us on Thursday, March 21st at 7 PM in person at GFCC  for our initial meeting. This meeting will introduce us to the process and posture our hearts for engaging together.

Please take a moment to prayerfully review our 'This is Us' Vision Draft.

This is Us Vision Draft

Please note that collective journey includes the following meetings:

·  April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30: Tuesday @7pm via zoom

·  May 8 (Last Gathering): Wednesday @7pm In-person at GFCC

All are invited to come to take part on this journey of our life together.  If you have questions, contact Pastor Paul.

Easter Offering for ECWA Theological Seminary, JOS (JETS) in Nigeria

In the past, our Mission Outreach budget included both Sunday Agang and JETS.  We would send funds of support to both Sunday personally and to the Seminary.

This year, our Missions Outreach budget includes support only for Sunday Agang.  (Sunday Agang is the Provost of JETS and has been a friend of our congregation since 2003.)

In lieu of sending support from the Missions Outreach budget, we will be taking a special Easter offering to be sent to JETS.  If you would like to give a special gift to JETS, you can do so on our church’s giving portal or drop a check in the offering box (clearly marked that it is for the JETS special offering).  Easter Sunday will be the last day to receive this offering. If you have any questions, please contact Dave Williams.

Eastertide Cards! (Note from Cindy Jew)

“People can get their cards/stamps from me on Sunday or email me.  There are 12 extra cards available if you didn't get a chance to sign up and wanted to still send one, remember you can send them after Easter as we celebrate until Ascension Sunday and every Sunday for that matter!.  Just let me know so I can get them to you!.  Cindy”

●      Palm Sunday Sunday Service, March 24

●      Maundy Thursday Service, A Service of Lament, March 28 at 7PM

●      Good Friday Evening Service, March 29 at 7PM

Maundy Thursday: A Service of Lament, 7 PM

Maundy Thursday is the day Jesus celebrates the Last Supper. It is a time of disorientation for his disciples, and a time of grief for Jesus. This Thursday, we are invited to accompany Jesus on his journey, while he creates a place for us to lament our own suffering and disorientation as a community. This service will have significant elements of lament, as a way for us to collectively bring our story to God.

Easter Sunday Love Feast, March 31

Let’s celebrate our Lord’s resurrection together with our Love Feast.  It will be a PotLuck lunch and we invite you to bring a dish to share.  Bringing food is voluntary as we understand that you may be preparing for Easter activities and will be unable to bring anything.  That is okay!

There will be no sign up.

Refreshment Sign Up

Thank you to those who regularly sign up to bring us refreshments after our service.  For those of us who enjoy the refreshments each week but have not had a chance to contribute, please consider signing up.

As an alternative to making/buying/bringing food, you can make a monetary contribution by placing a check in the offering box and indicating that it is for coffee hour refreshments.  We all love to have something sweet or savory during refreshment time.

If you have any questions, please see Caroline or Jennifer.
