Love Feast on June 14

Stay for lunch and the chance to honor all those who represent the hands and feet of Jesus in the work of our church and its ministries.

Lunch will be catered. No one needs to bring any food.

Lord, we are deeply grateful for the sacrifice of your Son,

for your justice and peace and for your spirit of reconciliation.

During the madness of ongoing wars help us remember the words of Isaiah 2:4:

“They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks;

nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”

Amen.

The Memphis Theological Seminary is Closing

The Cumberland Presbyterian Church’s one and only seminary will be closing its doors on July 31. Read the below article that tells the history and all the good works of the Memphis Theological Seminary. Our own Michael Leslie is a graduate of Memphis Theological Seminary, class of 1997!

Mission Trip to Federal Way, Washington to Visit Pastor Nelson and Annet

We plan to visit Pastor Nelson and Annet and their congregation at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. One of our goals is to be an encouragement to them and at the same time learn from them. We will also have a chance to visit the World Vision headquarters and learn about their ministries in Africa.

The trip will be from Thursday, August 20 to Monday, August 24. If you wish to join in this trip, please let Pastor Al or Caroline know by Sunday, June 14.
