Daily Prayer at 12PM by the People of Grace Fellowship Community Church

This week’s daily prayer for March 20 to March 26 is from Leni Juarez.

In these challenging times, we lift the vulnerable from across the globe:

- Displaced families in Gaza.

- Children facing hunger and sickness

- People of Iran caught in an international conflict

- War-weary families of Ukraine

- Immigrants in our country targeted by racist policies

In your mercy, protect and deliver them. In your grace, encircle them with your love.

In your power, awaken your Church to join in your work of redemption.

Amen

Easter Offering

This Easter, we would like to take a special offering for Esther Moses Badung’s (Sunday Agang’s daughter) TRASE (Trauma Resilience and Sustainable Empowerment) Project.

“TRASE is not just a poverty alleviation scheme: it is a holistic initiative that aims to empower individuals and families suffering from trauma, especially trauma resulting from the ongoing Fulani herdsmen kidnapping, attacks and killings, to rebuild their lives,

rediscover their God-given potential, and become agents of positive change.”

You can read more about this project here.

You can give by putting a check in our offering box (marked for the Easter offering) or give online.

Maundy Thursday Evening Gathering, April 2 at 6:00PM

“Just before the Passover Feast, Jesus knew that the time had come to leave this world to go to the Father. Having loved his dear companions, he continued to love them right to the end.”—Jn 13:1-2.

Jesus eagerly desired to be with his friends and brought them together one last time before his time of trial. That evening, he shared a meal with them and got up from supper to wash his disciples’ feet as an example of how they are to live—extending grace to all, vulnerable and enemy alike.

We too are invited to share a meal together with Jesus and each other on Maundy Thursday, April 2nd, 6:00 PM, before Good Friday comes. That evening, we will gather in the church sanctuary and a light meal will be provided. We will also practice what he taught us by washing each other’s feet. While this might evoke some hesitance within you, as it did with Peter, we hope to help each other lean into this practice of radical love that Jesus wants us to embody. While you will not be required to have your feet washed, we ask that you prayerfully consider how you would like to offer your love and presence to Jesus that evening.

Good Friday Service, April 3 at 7PM

Easter Sunday Service, April 5

As part of our celebration, we will have a Pot Luck Love Feast. Bring your favorite dish to share.

For those who are interested in participating and marching together in the No Kings Protest, we will gather together at the corner of California and Drumm Streets (at the end of the California St. Cable Car line) at 11:30AM.

At the end of the march, we can meet at the southwest corner of Larkin and Grove Streets (in front of the Bill Graham Auditorium).

Flipping the Tables of Oppression, Tuesday, March 31, 11AM - 1PM

On Tuesday, March 31 we will be holding a vigil at the ICE building at 630 Sansome in San Francisco from 11 am-1 pm.

We are planning this as one of the monthly vigils that are hosted by Interfaith Movement 4 Human Integrity. (IM4HI) We will be following Jesus example of flipping the tables of the oppressive systems and companies that are profiting from the genocide in Gaza as well as the unjust immigration system.

Yes, there will be a ritual of flipping tables as well as a call to action. Yes, there will be singing!

Any questions, please reach out to Pastor Al.

Ministry Partners

Remembering Dr. John Perkins

Dr. John Perkins was an important part of the formation and history of Grace Fellowship Community Church. Over several summers, our church has sent teams of people to serve at Harambee Ministries in Pasadena.

Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, Langham Partnership has shared a list of books by their talented female authors and scholars.

Greetings from Kevin VandenBrink of Langham Partnership

…Within all three of Langham's programs, we often talk about the importance of indigenous inculturation of theology and the gospel. We all bring our own strengths and weaknesses to our walk with God, and cultures are both shaped by, and shape, our understanding of God's Word, through the Holy Spirit….

…Praise God for graduated Langham Scholar Ruth Padilla-deBorst, now a renowned missiologist and professor, who recently received the 2025 Nina Griggs Gunter Servant-Leader Award from Trevecca Nazarene University. Thanks for Ruth’s dedication and service over many years, and pray for her ongoing ministry.

You can read the complete letter here.
