Prayer of Confession
Though called to Your Pilgrim path,
our hearts melt before the task.
Wandering from the narrow way,
we stumble and disobey.
Yet Lord, when we reach our end,
there you’re waiting, Savior, friend.
For You call us to abide,
invited, arms opened wide.
Father of Promise and new life,
Your voice calling midst our strife.
Cornerstone, Salvation’s plan
our times, we give to Your hand.
Father of all boundless peace,
‘fore your cross our sins release.
Rock and Fortress, Your Name’s sake,
to your morning, our souls wake.
Come, people of God!
Let us sing the praises of the One who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light!
For once we were not a people at all,
but now we are God’s people!
