Dear Grace Family,
These announcements and prayer requests are being sent out every Thursday to inform us of what is happening in and the needs of our church. Please send any announcements or prayer requests to office@gfccsf.org by Tuesday evening.
Announcements for the Week of 06/02/25
Join Us for Pentecost Sunday Worship, June 8 at 10:00 AM
Pastor Paul will be preaching from Acts 1:12-15, 2:1-12,14. “Unity in Christ: Finding a Sacred Belonging”
Questions to Ponder: As you reflect on last Sunday's sermon by Brenden and prepare for this Sunday's message, consider these two questions:
1. "In what ways do you identify with Peter?”
2. "What setbacks, losses or failures in your life have ultimately helped you grow?"
Last Sunday, Brenden Gutierrez-Graczak preached on “Blessed are the Broken, For They Shall Bring God’s Beauty”
If you want to re-listen to Brenden’s sermon (and any other previous sermons), you can do so on our church’s website.

Food Pantry Update
Starting this Saturday, June 7 we will re-launch our Farmer’s Market style food distribution at our weekly pantry. During the pandemic we were asked to pre-bag all of the food for the participants. Our numbers have increased and we now serve around 145 participants per week and this required packing two bags for each participant…almost 300 bags! The pantry is now encouraging us to go back to the style where we hand out individual foods to the participants and put it directly into their own bags or carts.
Will you join us? First, pray for the transition, both for the volunteers and the participants. Then, consider signing up to help out! Perhaps you can plan to do it one Saturday per month, or a few times a quarter. We have shifted the time to 12pm -3pm. We always have fun together as we care for our community. We look forward to seeing you!

Hearwhat's new from the pastors of each congregation so we know how to pray and possibly get involved with acts of service.
How do you see your faith impacting your important relationships—with your spouse, children, friends, church, work?
Cost is $10 which is payable on the day of the event. You can bring cash or Venmo to Robert.
Indicate that you will be attending by signing up.

Meet Another Candidate for Moderator of the 194th General Assembly of Cumberland Presbyterian Church
Last week, an article was included that introduced us to 2 candidates for the office of Moderator of the General Assembly. There is another candidate.
Introducing the Rev. Dr. Michael Qualls, Candidate for GA Moderator
The Mid-South Presbytery, meeting via Zoom on May 27, 2025, endorsed the Rev. Dr. Michael Qualls as a candidate for Moderator of the General Assembly.
A lifelong Cumberland Presbyterian, Dr. Qualls brings more than four decades of pastoral experience and a deep love for the church. Currently serving as Director of the Program of Alternate Studies and Vice President for Cumberland Presbyterian Church Relations, “Dr. Q” is known not only for his academic accomplishments but also for his pastoral heart.
In a time when the church wrestles with difficult questions and divergent perspectives, Dr. Qualls is an ideal candidate for Moderator. He is known across the denomination as a patient listener, a bridge-builder, and a trusted voice of calm. His friendships across differing views are not just a testament to his diplomacy but to his genuine care for people.
