Daily Prayer at 12PM by the People of Grace Fellowship Community Church
This week’s daily prayer for February 27 to March 5 is from Samantha Gutierrez-Graczak.
Lord, we were not created to live in a constant state of emergency.
Teach us, Holy Spirit, how to resist evil as we guard our attention and lean into the fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness).
Give us wisdom to discern where to invest our energy and devotion.
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Amen
Tell Me Something Good Lenten Devotional
This Sunday, March 1st, we begin the 2nd Week of Lent: “The good news is…great love for God and neighbor.” To know God’s extravagant love is to know our extravagant need. To God, those who are “the least” are “the most loved.” They are most free to offer themselves to God in response to the immense love offered to them.
Next week, those walking through the devotional will have an opportunity to join with fellow companions on the journey (see Tell Me Something Good: Gathering Schedule). In Lent, we want to ask God to speak into this season of our life together and look for Jesus attending us amid our cares and struggles. Just as Jesus holds space for each of us, let us practice doing likewise with one another. Consider these questions in your time together: TMSG Reflection Questions. Of course, these questions are merely to help prompt conversation and not an obligation to answer them all.

Hesed - extraordinary kindness and exorbitant grace
In the OT, God's love is most often represented by the Hebrew word hesed (or chessed), often translated into English as loving kindness or steadfast such as in Psalm 85:10, and notably lived out in the book of Ruth. In this week's Luke and Matthew passages, Jesus receives hesed from the uninvited woman: her weeping, bathing his feet with her tears, drying them with her hair. Her loving devotion is a response to knowing that she is seen, known, welcomed, and deeply loved by Him. As recipients of Christ's hesed, may we extend our hesed to our God, to each other, and to this hurting world.

A Call to Christians in a Crisis of Faith and Democracy
“There are moments that call for repentance and resistance, courage and conviction, faith and fortitude. This is one of those moments.
The question is, what will we do now? ….We call on all Christians to join us in greater acts of courage to resist the injustices and anti-democratic danger sweeping across the nation. In moments like this, silence is not neutrality—it is an active choice to permit harm…”
The above is an excerpt from the national statement that 400 clergy (including Pastor Al) signed and released last week on Ash Wednesday.
An article in USA Today discusses the national statement and warns of a “crisis of faith”

During this Love Feast, Amy Lee from Jubilee Immigration Advocates, will be doing a special presentation to bring us up-to-date about the immigration situation in our country. This includes what to do should ICE appear and to “Know Our Rights.”

Update from Pastors Freddy and Lyvia
Agape CPC has been ministering to our broken community these past few months. We continue to go door to door sharing the gospel and praying for the community. We are giving discipleship classes on the weekly basis. These classes will lead to membership classes and those classes will lead to baptism. At this moment we are preparing to host Presbytery here at Agape CPC for March 2026. Please pray for our church as we look forward to being a good host to our sister churches. Thank you for your continued support. Grace Fellowship has been a wonderful blessing to our congregation. May the peace of Christ be with you.

Update from Langham Partnership
“It’s been four years since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, upending any sense of normal life. As the initial crisis morphed into a long-term reality, church leaders began to ask, “How can we equip believers to live biblically in the midst of war? How can we help them prepare for the challenges they’re facing?”......
